What is Henna made from?

Henna is a natural dye made from a plant known as hina or the henna tree (a flowering plant that grows in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia). This plant is dried, milled and then sifted into a powder that is then mixed up into a paste applied to the brows.
